Cora Coralina, a poet born in the city of Goiás in 1889, became famous for producing a literary work that was simultaneously powerful and simple, courageous and unpretentious. The Cora stool stands out for its vertically woven fabric backrest, a feature that creates a texture that subtly refers to the old woolen shawls that the poet often carried with her. The low backrest also refers to her relaxed and welcoming personality. It is a piece that evokes our fond memories of living with our grandmothers, their homes, lace blankets and coffee in the pot.
